JAN 11, 2010 – Lonny Price master class

I workshop a couple songs from my audition book in a master class taught by Lonny Price — not just the renowned Broadway veteran actor/director (Merrily We Roll Along, A Class Act) but the original Neil Kellerman in the movie Dirty Dancing — the part I played on tour all last year!

DEC 13, 2009 – “Snapshots” meeting with Prospect Theater Company

The first meeting of the writers of Prospect Theater’s experimental musical project: 8 different writing teams each contribute a single musical scene to a new show, all about different defining moments in the life of a single central character — who has yet to be named.  Each team contributed a fictional character idea, and each was assigned someone else’s character.  I drew the name of Max: a 14-year-old who doesn’t speak the same language as his family and feels left out.  Time to see what happens …

NOV 15, 2009 – “St. Urbain Street” recording

At the studios of Michael Gilboe (producer of the “Broadway Bullet” podcast), I record vocals for a previously-unproduced song by Alan Menken and David Spencer — “Leaving St. Urbain Street,” sung by the title character of their musical THE APPRENTICESHIP OF DUDDY KRAVITZ.  The recording will be released on the upcoming CD No More Revivals, produced by the BMI Workshop and released by Sh-K-Boom Records … the CD will also include my own song “My Sky,” sung by Stephanie J. Block and orchestrated by Bruce Coughlin.

NOV 7, 2009 – Stephanie J. Block records Adam’s song

Stephanie J. Block (9 to 5, Wicked) records Adam’s song (sung here by Rachel Potter and Ian Joseph, here by Leslie Henstock) for release on the upcoming CD No More Revivals, produced by the Tony Award-winning BMI Workshop.  Adam is a composer/lyricist in the Workshop, which provides a training ground for aspiring musical theater writers.  This is the Workshop’s first CD — make sure to look for it on iTunes in the next few months!
